If Good Girls Go to Heaven

Well then bad girls must go everywhere.

Women including Mae West, Katharine Hepburn, Helen Gurley Brown and Gloria Steinem have used this phrase to mean different things. From bad girls have more fun, or you have to bust out of the stereotypical good girl mode to advance in today's world.

It's words of wisdom from women who came before and learned about life and what it took to not only keep their heads above water but to get ahead.

  1. For example: "Well-behaved women rarely make history." But there are different ways to be a bad girl. I know that to most people, I appear to be the stereotypical good girl. But I'd like to think that there's something to be said for letting my career --a career in which women like me are still very much the minority-- define me more than my husband, my marriage, my parents, my child, or my friends (as much as I love them all). Call me Professor Bad Girl :), or really, a feminist who is not afraid to identify as such. :) Because, in our society, isn't that what a bad girl is?... Thanks for the inspiration, Tracey!
